✏️ To fill in: year(s), role and festival context.

Starting point

✏️ To fill in: why a custom build rather than an off-the-shelf CMS, what the organisers needed.

What I did

  • A plain PHP and MySQL site with a custom router — no framework, fast and easy to host.
  • An admin panel for the organisers, reworked with a focus on UX: drag-and-drop stage ordering, line-up visibility toggle.
  • A vanilla JS frontend with interactive p5.js graphics.
  • Database query optimisation (N+1) and the switch between festival editions.
  • Renamed /program to /line-up with a 301 redirect so old links keep working.

Process

✏️ To fill in: how you designed the admin, testing with organisers, the visual concept.

Outcome

✏️ To fill in: how the site served the festival — traffic, feedback, screenshots.
